It's a really long weekend

Things to do over Easter
The Easter break is here and with Anzac Day occurring at the same time, the break goes all the way from Friday to next Wednesday, so what exciting things are happening around town?

Thursday
The Circus is here, Cirque Du Soleil that is, Saltimbanco returns. It’s at Challenge Stadium and opens tonight. UK electronic music producer Clark is on at The Bakery, the Indigo Girls are playing at The Concert Hall, its Steak Night at The Court Hotel. Later at Connections is Filth with DJ Jim Jam – men only tonight.

Friday
At Sci Tech, the Sound Chamber has been fired up, it’s a giant inflatable dome and your movement creates sound, mountains of fun. Check out The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber at Burswood Theatre, it’s a great show that winds through the composers’ hits and some lesser known works.

Saturday
The Fremantle Street Art Festival starts on Saturday, head down to Fishing Boat Harbour for some fish and chips, and then wonder the streets. Take the children (or borrow some) and check out Monica Main in The Mary Surefoot Shoe Collection at Spare Parts Puppet Theatre. Get your groove on and head to Creamfields at Claremont showgrounds. Satuday night at Connections, Tim Brown is celebrating his 20th year of being at the club.

Sunday
Take in the best of Perth’s local music scene at RTRFM’s In the Pines, twenty local bands are play in the idyllic setting of The Somerville Auditorium. On Sunday night at Connections it’s the Women’s Night ‘Stache – girls only for this one. Over at The Court Hotel it’s the annual Gay Prom – dress up for this one.

Monday
It’s ANZAC day, get up early (or just stay awake) and head up to Kings Park before dawn, or check out your local ANZAC day service.

Tuesday
Go to the beach.
