Lady Gaga breaks off engagement

Lady Gaga has confirmed her engagement to long term partner Taylor Kinney is off, and the couple have split. The pop star has said she hopes their separation is temporary.

Kinney and Gaga first hooked up when he starred opposite her in her ‘You and I’ video. The couple had been together for five years.

Kinney was captured looking happy as he returned to work on the set of the TV show ‘Chicago Fire’ where he plays firefighter Kelly Severide. The actor has also played the character on spin-off shows ‘Chicago P.D.’ and ‘Chicago Med’.

Earlier this year Kinney starred in the horror film ‘The Forrest’ opposite Natalie Dormer, best known for her role as Margaery Tyrell in ‘Game of Thrones’.

Gaga has lots to keep her busy the singer’s new album is expected to be released this year, the follow up to 2013’s ARTPOP. In 2014 she released a duet’s album with Tony Bennett, which saw the pair sing classic tunes from the 1920’s – 1950’s.
