News website Crikey has highlighted that the website created by a group of Greek mothers who are concerned about the Safe Schools Coalition shares many attributes with the website of the Australian Christian Lobby.
On Wednesday News Corp columnist Miranda Devine highlighted that a group of mothers of shared Greek heritage were so outraged by the Safe Schools Coalition program, which aims to reduce bullying of LGBTIQ youth, they had decided to take action and launch their own website.
The ‘Your teaching our children what?’ website and Facebook page collates articles that are critical of the Safe Schools Coalition program, and proposals for marriage equality. The Facebook page also includes a video suggesting it’s all part of a global conspiracy.
Miranda Devine reported that the 10 mothers behind the website have chosen to remain the anonymous, as they fear reprisals from supporters of the program.
Crikey has highlighted that the new website has a very similar IP address to the website of the Australian Christian Lobby and shares the same name servers, the same registrar, and is hosted at the same Canberra based company.
OUTinPerth asked both groups if they were connected, neither of them have responded.
Previously it has been revealed that there were close ties between the Australian Christian Lobby and the Australian Marriage Forum.
