Summer's Last Days

Make the most ofthe last days of sunshine, gather some friends and head down to your nearest park or beach for a picnic.

A picnic is minimal work, grab some fresh fruit, bread, cold meat and cheeses and throw a simple salad together. Take a radio, some cards and a Frisbee along for some fun.

Give your picnic a theme, like fish and chips, envisaged here as salmon sandwiches and little cups of potato salad.

Cut the potatos into long strips so they look like French fries.

Cheese, Crackers and Dip are easy to put together. Choose a few really different cheeses, a soft Havarti, boldly flavoured cheddar and something unexpected.

We love this dark coloured Norwegian Brunost that tastes like toffee.

Create a healthy salad of rocket, crumbled feta and walnuts. Make a dressing of olive oil, vinegar and lemon juice.

Keep the dressing separate until you’re ready to eat.
