Sharing the story of the Roman leader from 64 A.D. Dr van Gend said the disaster of the Fires of Rome and the execution of Christians including the execution of Peter, the first Bishop of Rome is similar to the current situation faced by the Bishop of Hobart Julian Porteous.

In the article Dr Van Gend said Bishop Porteous is latest Christian being “thrown to the lions” and is facing society is facing a  homosexual juggernaut that crushes foundational liberties of speech and conscience in the name of counterfeit equality.

Dr Van Gend is critical of marriage equality advocates who disagree with the religious position that homosexual acts are morally wrong arguing that the true motivation behind the push to change the marriage laws is to silence those believe in a religious viewpoint.

  1. Not just religious freedom under threat but also free speech. If you don’t believe in freedom of religion that’s one thing but how can anyone be against free speech? Both of theses are long established UN sanctioned rights unlike the newly invented sexual “rights” which some are pushing so hard they want them to trump all other long standing legitimate rights. Including a child’s right to it’s parents. Adults can do what they like romanticly but for goodness sake stop manufacturing children in third world countries via rent-a-womb and exploiting poor third world women and ripping newborns away from their mums. It’s incredibly selfish. Same rights for all relationships by all means. And as far as biological males using female showers and toilets… NO, that is not on. Protect girls and women. Why should their rights be violated?
