Northern Territory AIDS and Hepatitis Council IncThe Northern Territory AIDS and Hepatitis Council Inc. (NTAHC) is a non-profit community based organisation providing a diverse range of services to the community. NTAHC services include prevention, education and support for those persons directly or indirectly affected by or at risk of contracting HIV/AIDS, hepatitis C or other blood borne viruses. The NTAHC operates offices in Darwin and Alice Springs. Services are delivered through comprehensive project portfolios which include:

  • Community education including schools, workplaces and prisons
  • Support services for people living with HIV and/or Hepatitis C
  • Needle and Syringe Programs
  • Sex Worker Outreach Project
  • Gay Men’s health outreach
  • Gay community engagement and education/campaign development
  • Indigenous focused sexual health and harm reduction projects

The Regional Managers (Top End and Central Australia) are responsible for the day to day management of projects under the direction of the Executive Director.

Job Title: Regional Manager (Top End)

Remuneration:

  • N.T. SACS Award (Community Worker):
  • Levels 7/8 ($55,594 – $61,920) subject to qualifications and experience.
  • Salary packaging and relocation assistance is available.

Duration: Three year contract, subject to a three (3) month probationary period and annual Performance Reviews.

Location: The position is based at the Darwin Office of the NTAHC.

Hours: 38hours per week. The Regional Manager will be required to work both within and outside normal business hours. The position entails periodic intra and interstate travel. Overtime is not payable.

Primary Objective (Function): Under the guidance of the Executive Director, undertake the day to day management of staff and delegated project portfolios to ensure the appropriate governance, administration, development, implementation and evaluation of policies and projects in accordance with the Council’s Strategic and Business Plans to ensure that the Council provides the highest possible service to Clients.
