Tyra Banks has announced that after 22 seasons, ‘America’s Next Top Model’ will be coming to an end after 12 years of strutting, posing and, of course, the smize.
Ms Banks sent her final Tyra mail on Twitter today, announcing the current cycle will be the last.
TYRA MAIL! Thinking #ANTM22 should be our last cycle. I truly believe it’s time. May your pics be forever fierce. Keep on Smizing! 💛Tyra

“America’s Next Top Model was a successful franchise for two networks… and it became not just a ratings hit, but a global pop culture phenomenon,” CW station president Mark Pedowitz announced.
“I want to thank Tyra and Ken for all their years of success in establishing a show that was not just popular in the US, but all across the world.”
The series was syndicated across the world in over 40 countries including Thailand, Norway, Belgium, China and here in Australia – with judge Alex Perry and new host Jennifer Hawkins.
The program’s success made Tyra Banks a household name, with the force of her modelling career behind her. Banks is perhaps best known for perfecting the ‘smize’ – smiling with one’s eyes – and the moment in cycle 4 where she politely asked contestant Tiffany to be quiet.
