Connections Nightclub have revitalised their cocktail menu, adding some tasty new drinks, while retiring a few old favourites.
The new cocktail menu was unveiled on Wednesday night. Sticking with the tradition of naming drinks after members of the local community the new menu also includes tributes to several well known local people.
One of our favourites is the  Charisma (pictured, rear), named after the club’s cleaning lady it has a innovative garnish of a a Chux Superwipe. The hard working behind the scenes member of the team is embodied as a mix of Bearded Lady Moonshine, Peach Schnapps, Lime juice, Ginger beer and Orgeat.
Well known community member Buka has been honored with a drink in her name. The combination of James Quire 150 Lashes Pale Ale, Pineapple Juice, Orgeat and a whole lot of flowers is a fitting tribute to Buka who passed away recently.
Lady Florina is remembered with a Lilet Rose, Hendricks Gin and Sugar Syrup. Lady Flo, the alter ego of Laurie Rayner, who passed away last month, was a fixture of the queer scene in Perth in the 70’s and 80’s. This is one potent drink! Delicious but packing a punch.
The legendary social butterfly Hollywood is also acknowledged on the menu with a combination of Apreol, Riccadonna Prosecco and Orange.
The man behind the tasty creations, Gavin Kingsburry, also created a cocktail in honour of his Mum. Gaye’s Rhubarb Crumble (pictured front) is totally delicious. A combination of 666 utter Vodka, house made rhubarb nectar, lemon juice, macadamia syrup and cinnamon – it was a taste sensation.
