Local Photographer Goes Where the Drag Takes Her

Local photographer Claire Alexander is using a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for a project which will see her taking her skills to the international stage.

Alexander has photographed local queens including Hannah Conda and Ruby Jewelz, as well as RuPaul’s Drag Race Alumni Ben De La Creme, Detox, Sharon Needles and many more.

Alexander will be going on the RuPaul’s Drag Race cruise, visiting Italy, Greece, Turkey, Croatia, Honduras, Mexico, and the USA, documenting her journey all the way with aim of creating a photo book of her work entitled: ‘Drag Seeker’.The funds from her Kickstarter campaign will be going towards the production of her book, the trip is already funded.

Those who support the campaign can be rewarded with t-shirts, prints and all matter of gay things. The book will include images of local queens as well as the stars she is sure to encounter abroad.
