Michael Jackson and Freddie Mercury Collaboration Released

Michael-Jackson-Queen-There-Must-Be-More-To-LifeQueen have released a new track, a collaboration with Freddie Mercury and Michael Jackson.

Back in the early 80’s Queen’s lead singer Freddie Mercury and Michael Jackson spent some time together in the studio during Jackson’s recording sessions for ‘Thriller’. The pair recorded three songs together. Now one of those songs has been completed by producer William Orbit to feature on a new Queen album.

‘Theere Must Be More to life Than This’ was featured on Mercury’s 1985 album ‘Mr Bad Guy’, but this is the first time the world has been able to hear Jackson singing his part of the song.

The other songs from the session were passed on the The Jacksons. ‘State of Shock’ was recorded as a duet with Mick Jagger and released on The Jacksons’ Victory’ album. Mercury and Jackson also worked together on the albums title track.

Continuing members of the band Brian May and Roger Taylor had announced that the track would hopefully be released this year as part of a new album but described dealing with Jackson’s estate as “wading through glue”. They must have made it through the mire though, because the song premiered on BBC radio this morning.
