Professional Profile: My Yummy Vice

For the second year running, My Yummy Vice wowed the judges to pick up the Best Professional Cupcake Prize at the annual GLCS Bakeoff, Sweet. My Yummy Vice’s winning entry literally towered over other contenders with a metre high wonderland of all things Alice and Mad Hatter.

Lydia Ross and Carrie Cotton, the Rockingham-based mother and daughter team behind My Yummy Vice, have been creating their custom designed cupcakes and celebration cakes together professionally since 2007.

Lydia has spent over 20 years in the cake decorating business, whilst Carrie draws inspiration from her background in tattooing and visual arts. Ross and Cotton fuse their complementary skills to create sweet masterpieces that are a feast for the eyes.

Under the quirky, extravagant and beautiful exteriors of their custom cupcakes, My Yummy Vice packs a flavourful punch with ‘baked from scratch’ cakes that seriously have you considering renting a second stomach for an extra helping…or six. For the traditional sorts there are classic favourites like Chocolate Mud and Vanilla or you can take your tastebuds to new heights with the likes of Choc Chilli, Melon Lemon Sorbet, Turkish Delight or Banoffee.

Best of All? If you can’t possibly choose from amongst the sixty flavours already on the menu, My Yummy Vice are happy to roll up their sleeves, get their bespoke on and create a new flavour especially for you.
