La Roux Returns

la-rouxIt’s been quite a break between releases for electronic musical artist La Roux.

Four years after her debut the English singer returns with her follow up release and it’s been worth the wait.

‘Let Me Down Gently’ is the first single from the singer’s second album and while it’s not as immediately catchy as ‘Bulletproof’ or ‘In for the Kill’ but it’s intriguingly interesting. The track starts off as a bit of a mellow brooding number and then really kicks off half way through.

Previously La Roux was a duo featuring singer Elly Jackson and producer Ben Langmaid, but now it’s just Jackson on her own. Her second album ‘Trouble in Paradise’ is set to be released on July 7.

The track listing for the new record is ‘Uptight Downtown’, ‘Kiss and Not Tell’, ‘Cruel Sexuality’, ‘Paradise is You’, ‘Sexotheque’, ‘Tropical Chancer’, ‘Silent Partner’, ‘Let Me Down Gently’ and ‘The Feeling’.
