British talk show host Jonathan Ross has revealed he is planning to develop a UK version of everyone’s favourite high-powered dose of glitter: RuPaul’s Drag Race.
Ross told The Daily Star he’s been working with DJ drag artist Jodie Harsh on the project. ““I’ve been working with Jodie on a UK version of RuPaul’s Drag Race.”
“Unfortunately we have had to take a break because of some family issues. ”
“But we’re hoping to pick it up again in the near future.”
Ross attended a drag night at the Camden cabaret bar Black Cap last month, and says he is a fan of the UK’s drag scene, citing his love for drag queen Meth (who is the star of club night Meth’s Lab).
“I love drag and I love Meth – the performer – as well as Betty Bottom Dollar.
“I think it’s a fabulous art.”
Ross confessed he is a huge fan of RuPaul’s Drag Race, adding “I am definitely serving ‘middle-aged-realness!”.
