Meet the New Samantha Jones

Lindsay GortWe’ll admit we got bored with the Sex and the City prequel ‘The Carrie Diaries’ after about three episodes, but somebody must be watching it because it’s been renewed for a second season.

In the second season the show is set to introduce one of Carrie’s ‘Sex and the City’ buddies the outrageous Samantha Jones. Actress Lindsey Gort has just been cast in the role.

Gort previously starred in the film ‘Destinea, Our Island’ and has made an appearance on the TV show ‘Vegas’.

A second ‘Sex and the City’ cast member is expected to appear in the new season, but there’s no word yet on who’ll be taking on the role of the young Stanford Blatch.
