Celebrate Being a Woman

Rosie_iStock5315093MInternational Woman’s Day is coming up on March 8. We thought we’d highlight the three main events you can attend to commemorate and celebrate women that have fought for equality.

International Women’s Day Breakfast

UN Women Australia are inviting you to celebrate the role that women play in our communities. The Women’s Day Breakfast will be raising funds towards ending violence against women; the non-for-profit organisation is working towards gender equality and the empowerment of women. Starting at 7am on March 7 at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre, this is an event not to be missed.

International Women’s Day Luncheon

On March 8 at Hillarys Yacht Club, the event offers a two course lunch, entertainment, guest speakers, door prizes and raffles. Kick starting at 11.30, the breakfast will be raising funds for The Smith Family and the Learning for Life Program.

International Women’s Day High Tea

Raising money for the Funds for Freedom Project, join the Women’s Council for  Domestic and Family Services Inc to work towards a life free of domestic violence for children and women. The fundraiser will be held at the Duxton Hotel on March 8 from 2.30pm.
