Guy Singgalz – Metrosexual & Gay Men's Clothing

Family owned clothing Brand Guy Singgalz will launch its online shopping site specifically catered to gay men and single women later this month. Twenty one year old marketing student, Tarryn Morton created the clothing brand after a university project sparked her interest.

‘I wanted to continue the project and create a full blown business’, she said, ‘my brother is gay and has a flair for fashion, so it’s nice to be able to work with him on this. Metro-sexual and gay men’s clothing is a market we wanted to explore.’

Following the global economic crisis, many small business owners are taking their brands online. Guy Singgalz used market based research to assess the risks and benefits of the venture.

‘Online is where the world is heading in terms of shopping.’ Ms Morton explained.

According to the Australian Communications and Media Authority’s latest report on E-Commerce; 53 per cent of people purchased clothing, shoes and personal items online, up from 42 per cent previously.
