People… get over it! A certain club WAS NOT late with its countdown this New Years Eve. In fact, they were so on the ball they had it coordinated with the internet, the talking clock (1194), the DJ’s watch, the watch of the drag queen backstage (although how reliable they are….) plus the manager’s watch. Ok, so they didn’t factor in the extra second that all the atomic clocks around the world had to… but they were on time people. Consider yourself ticked off… and cue Madonna’s Hung Up…!

ZOO is the place to well and truly push the envelope. That’s if you like pushing envelopes. If you like dancing, then ZOO has that covered too. In fact, ZOO likes it when people push envelopes while dancing. It’s a new dance craze sweeping our states and it’s called The Stamp. As in The Stamp of Approval. Which is something ZOO has. Especially from mOther. And especially if you’re a freak. More so if you are a freak pushing an envelope. A freak pushing a parcel will do. A freak pushing a package is more than welcome. But a freaking pushing a postcard just doesn’t cut it. DJs Space Ace, Dannimac and NeedleNurse do, however, ‘cut it’, as does ZOO. Do you? Find out at ZOO every Sunday night from 8pm… and do The Stamp!

Does a certain baby drag live in a fantasy? Apparently so. Darling, a word of advice – if you are going to badmouth people and then deny it – to their face – then don’t suddenly write down everything you’ve said in an email, or worse an MSN conversation, about said person. I mean… duh! Either that or don’t tick off a certain dear femme fatale who underneath it all is a material boy at heart… she does bite, darlings, she does bite.

The Court Hotel delivers amateur drag on Wednesday nights and if you are looking for a good hard… laugh, then this place has it in spades. Yes, it is the kinda night anyone would dig, but especially those who like to don a frock or pretty pair of pants and get up onstage to bare their all. Amateur drag happens every week. Check it out!

Turns out that Sandy Beaches is the number one support act in town! This was adamantly reinforced at a certain after-party recently. mOther does have to disagree – personally I think Sandy is wonderful and has all the charisma and blush applied as though by a house brick to make it as her own larger that life, poo pushing on a YouTube video independent woman… especially when she starts hosting LMW in a few weeks! As for the hostess of the party? Well, I heard she put the ‘t’ in toasted… as well as the ‘t’in terrific, as always.

Trick happens every Thursday night from 8pm. They now have DJ Johnni P playing alongside Frankie Button, and from all accounts it’s not just the music that’s hot! Yes, that’s right… Sheila Mann is also in attendance every week as the hostess d’jour! And man, that lady is a vamp! All up, Trick is your one stop mid week party drop! Particularly when they add any number of chanteuses they’ve had appearing there recently.

Connections are all ready to get a bit Bound & Gagged as their patented bondage night comes out of the closet for another fine romp through the room. This time the CNC kids are combining bondage with uniform to make a night crammed full of cheerleaders, firemen, nurses, cops who are bent in more ways than one plus loads of others. Now… if Connections could bring back the Japanese Schoolgirls of yore… that would make for a party! In the meantime though this night of mayhem is sure to prove worthwhile as DJs Cinnamon, Mandy and JJ deliver a host of beats the likes of which will get more than your toes tapping. Doors open 10pm with free entry for those in costume before 11.30pm.
Spank is back… and how! This fetish and fantasy dance party hits on Saturday February 28 and is sure to be bigger than big. The theme for this event is Circus Berserk, with the catch line ‘Marquis de Sade meets Cirque du Soleil’. There’s an assortment of mad happenings happening throughout and they include a stunning latex and zentai show (that’s full body latex outfit kiddies), stilt walkers, sexy circus feats, flaming hoola-hoops, whip cracking dungeon frolics, a fantastic themed photo booth plus shows, shows, shows. Here’s the doozy – strickly no outfit, no entry. No excuses! So go fetish, fantasy, burlesque, drag or goth as DJs Tintin, Space, Dannimac and NeedleNurse deliver some pumping house and bouncy dance. It takes place at Gilkinsons Dance Studio with doors opening at 9pm and tickets available from Mame, ZOO, Libido, Burlesque Baby, Flesh Rubber and Ron Reid Hair Stylists.

Oh… and vomit story of the month. Which young Sarah Jessica Parker wannabe was at the gym recently, putting fitness first and getting a zest for life. They were putting ‘uh’ in ‘b-uh-rn’ when all of a sudden their gag reflex nearly malfunctioned. What to do? Run out of the gym puking into a towel, only never to return? Well, they are the thoughts they confessed. Unfortunately for us, the feeling subsided. Shame… it seems he’s getting used to the idea of spewing in public (see last column when he pashed a boy after spewing). Golly….

Take care, and don’t stick it there!
