Two for Joy

Tamorin Lavers not only has a very pretty name, she paints a very pretty picture too. In her second solo show, Artocosm, Lavers explores the rustic, fluid Australian landscape in a series of paintings that touch on beauty, joy, play and the wide expanse of the rural plain. Images of magpies are incorporated, capturing the true larrikin spirit of Australia. What is more appealing about Lavers show is that it takes place at ABD The Gallery, 240 Lake Street in Northbridge (yes, formerly known as Tristans). Artocosm runs until June 15. www.abdthegallery.com.au
