Kylie Minogue will be the headline act at the BBC’s Proms in the Park concert in London this September.
Minogue, who is celebrating her 25th year in the music industry, is expected to perform orchestral versions of her greatest hits.
Late last year Minogue recorded her best known songs with a full orchestra at Abbey Road Studios in front of a live audience. A CD of the session is expected to be released later this year.
The classy headlining spot comes on the heels of Minogue’s surprise anti-tour earlier this year that saw her play B-sides and rare tracks in intimate venues.
BBC’s Proms in the Park is in London’s Hyde Park on September 8.
