Mardi Gras will be staging a red-carpet, high-quality, classy event at the Museum of Contemporary Art.

Other highlights include Sydney identities Bob Downe and Mitzi Macintosh in conversation with film star Rupert Everett at the Seymour Centre, plus the return season of the hit play Holding The Man, musical Hedwig And The Angry Inch and a series of cabaret shows, sports and other community events.

The festival also includes an expanded youth program which includes DJ classes, a Generation Youth festival and the Sydney Star Observers Shoot Mardi Gras program that nurtures a young photographer.

Fair Day will be on 18 February in Victoria Park. The Pool Party will be at the same venue on 24 February with the festival concluding on March 3 with the Parade and Party.
