Immoral Haggard Confesses

After years of condemnation and accusations levelled at homosexuals the church that the Rev. Ted Haggard founded has fired him following his confession to followers that he was guilty of sexual immorality.

On November 3, he resigned his leadership of the National Association of Evangelicals, where he held sway in Washington, and stepped aside as pastor of his church because of allegations by former male prostitute and masseur Mike Jones that Haggard engaged in sex with him for three years and used methamphetamine.

Haggard at first claimed he did not know his accuser, then following Mr Jones’ continued claims on November 5, Haggard released a statement saying, “The fact is I am guilty of sexual immorality. And I take responsibility for the entire problem. I am a deceiver and a liar. There’s a part of my life that is so repulsive and dark that I have been warring against it for all of my adult life,” he said.
