Lipstick and Hessian is a story of three generations of women from the same family that traces the symbols, secrets and inner strength of a feminine underworld in Australia throughout the last century. The work is a deeply personal one for writer/director Jo Morris, who based the characters on the stories of her own grandmother and great-grandmother. Lipstick and Hessian is showing at The Blue Room Theatre until December 15. www.pacs.org.au
