ECU Mount Lawley are hosting an exhibition of the best artwork from secondary school students across the state in the Spectrum Project Space.
The School of Arts and Humanities has teamed up with the Western Australian Secondary School Executive Association (WASSEA) for the sixth year running to hold the ‘Young Originals’ Exhibition, with support from the Department of Education.
President of WASSEA Janette Gee says the project gives students a unique and prestigious opportunity to display their art in a professional space.
“WASSEA members feel privileged to be involved in this celebration of emerging artists,” Ms Gee said.
The exhibition will include works from a range of mediums including printmaking, photography, painting, sculpture, video art, textiles and computer generated works.
‘Young Originals’ will be held from Thursday 11th August – Wednesday 24th August, including ECU & WAAPA Open Day on Sunday 14th August, in Spectrum Project Space, 2 Bradford St, Mt Lawley.
